What Does the following transvaginal Ultrasound Indicate?

Hi. I missed my period last October and my last menstrual period start date was September 27, 2015. Hence, undergone transvaginal ultrasound because when I had a pregnancy test (kit) last November 2, it turned negative. Could you please help me in reading the meaning of my ultrasound result: Cervix: 3.1 x 2.9 cm Uterus: 4.1 x 4.1 x 3.5 cm Endometrium: 0.9 cm Right Ovary: 2.7 x 1.5 cm Left Ovary: 3.1 x 2.6 cm Transvaginal scan shows a cervix with normal size and echotexture. The uterus is normal in size, retroverted, with no myometrial lesion. The endometrium is slightly thickened at 0.91 cm, hyperechoic intact. The right ovary is normal in size and echotexture. The left ovary contains a cystic, thin walled, anechoic structure measuring 2.8 x 1.2 cm, could be a cystic follicle. Minimal free fluid in the cul de sac. IMPRESSION: NORMAL CERVIX NORMAL SIZED RETROVERTED UTERYS SLIGHTLY THICKENED HYPERECHOIC ENDOMETRIUM NORMAL RIGHT OVARY LEFT OVARIAN CYST, TO CONSIDER CYSTIC FOLLICLE

Hi..
Welcome to HCM..
thanks for the query..
it rules out pregnancy as there is no gestational sac and uterus is normal size.
the cyst in the ovary is small and significant only if you have irregular cycles..
Endometrium can be thick before the start of periods or could be due to endometriosis..
symptoms like irregular periods and pain during menstruation go in favor of endometriosis. need to be correlated clinically.
if you have any such symptoms do discuss with the gynecologist.
Hope this information is helpful to you..take care..
